Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the Atsuma app and the atsuma.app website. They are written to be read, not to be skipped.

Who provides Atsuma

Atsuma is operated by Ahmed Abushaban. Contact: support@atsuma.app.

Using Atsuma

You need to be at least 13, and older where your country requires it. You agree to:

• Give accurate account information and keep your login secure.
• Not use Atsuma to harass, threaten, impersonate or abuse anyone.
• Not upload content you have no right to share, or content that is illegal.
• Not attempt to access data belonging to groups you are not a member of, or to probe, scan or overload the service.
• Not use automated systems to scrape or bulk-download content.

Accounts that break these terms may be restricted or removed. Where it is reasonable to do so you will be told why.

Your content

What you post stays yours. You give Atsuma permission to store, process and display it for the purpose of running the service — showing your photo to your group, delivering your message, calculating a split. Nothing more. That permission ends when you delete the content, except where it has already been shared with others in a way that cannot be undone.

You are responsible for what you post, including having the right to share photos of other people.

Shared expenses are a record, not a payment service

Atsuma calculates who owes what within a group. It does not hold, transfer or process money. No payment is made through Atsuma, and marking something as settled records that a payment happened elsewhere — it does not cause one.

Debts between members of a group are between those people. Atsuma is not a party to them, does not guarantee that anyone will pay, and cannot recover money on anyone's behalf. Please check the figures yourself before settling up.

Invited guests

Events can be shared by link with people who do not have an account. Anyone holding such a link can see the event's basic details and reply to it. If you are the organiser, treat an invite link as something that can be forwarded, and share it accordingly. You can revoke a link at any time.

Availability

Atsuma is provided as-is. During the beta especially, there is no uptime guarantee, features may change or be removed, and data loss is possible. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Paid features

Atsuma is currently free. If paid plans launch, pricing and terms will be shown clearly before you are charged, and subscriptions will be billed through the App Store or Google Play under their refund policies. Nothing in these terms allows you to be charged without agreeing first.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Some content you contributed to shared groups may remain where removing it would break the record for other people — an expense that others' balances depend on, for example. This is explained further in the Privacy Policy.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Atsuma is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for disputes between users — including disagreements about money. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot legally be excluded.

If you are a consumer, you keep all the rights your local consumer law gives you. Nothing in these terms takes those away.

Changes

These terms may change. If a change materially affects you, you will be notified in the app. Continuing to use Atsuma after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, where the operator is based. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you may still bring a claim in your own country where your local law gives you that right.
